Data Deletion

Last updated: July 13, 2026

AutoMes stores only the data needed to run your comment-to-DM automations: your connected Instagram account, your automations and follow-gate settings, message and delivery logs, and opt-out records. You have the right to delete all of it at any time. Use whichever of the methods below you prefer — each one fully deletes your data. This page explains how the deletion process works and what happens to your data afterwards.

How to delete your data

  • From your AutoMes dashboard. Log in to AutoMes, go to Settings, and disconnect your Instagram account. This immediately deletes your Instagram connection and all associated automation data from AutoMes.
  • By email. Send an email to [email protected] from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my data”. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days and confirm by email once it is done.

The methods above delete your data from AutoMes. To additionally revoke the app's access to your Instagram account, open Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites and remove AutoMes; this invalidates our access token immediately. Only you can remove the app from within your Instagram settings — we cannot do it on your behalf.

What gets deleted

  • Your connected Instagram account details and encrypted access token
  • All of your automations and follow-gate settings
  • Message and delivery logs, including data about the Instagram users who interacted with your content
  • Opt-out (blocklist) records tied to your account

What may be retained

We are legally required to retain certain payment and transaction records (such as the amount, date, and plan of past subscriptions) for up to 7 years to comply with Indian financial and tax regulations. These records do not include card, UPI, or bank details, which we never store. Everything else is permanently deleted.
