Data Deletion
Last updated: July 5, 2026
AutoMes stores only the data needed to run your comment-to-DM automations: your connected Instagram account, your automations and follow-gate settings, message and delivery logs, and opt-out records. You have the right to delete all of it at any time, using any of the methods below. This page explains how the deletion process works and what happens to your data afterwards.
How to delete your data
- Disconnect from your AutoMes dashboard. Log in to AutoMes, go to Settings, and disconnect your Instagram account. This removes your Instagram connection and its associated automation data.
- Remove AutoMes from Instagram. Open Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites, find AutoMes, and remove it. This revokes our access token and sends us a signal (via Meta's data-deletion callback) to delete your associated data.
- Email us a request. Send an email to automes849@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my data”. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days and confirm by email once it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your connected Instagram account details and encrypted access token
- All of your automations and follow-gate settings
- Message and delivery logs, including data about the Instagram users who interacted with your content
- Opt-out (blocklist) records tied to your account
What may be retained
We are legally required to retain certain payment and transaction records (such as the amount, date, and plan of past subscriptions) for up to 7 years to comply with Indian financial and tax regulations. These records do not include card, UPI, or bank details, which we never store. Everything else is permanently deleted.
